That's the feeling I get when the train, bus or car I'm in pulls into Atlantic City. I'm sure other guests to this website know that adrenaline rush to which I'm referring. I get excited about A.C. weeks, even months, before my next trip. And when the trip is spontaneous, it's hard to control my inner happiness. When I stepped out of the Atlantic City rail station three weekends ago, I saw the skyscraper casino hotels with their famous names in neon and my smile grew as wide as it did when I was a kid in the car with my family, speeding down the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn and sighting the glow-in-the-dark Ferris Wheel of Coney Island amusement park. "Look what I came across. Born and raised in Vineland and spent many week-ends in AC. Can remember spending the whole day, morning to night, on the Steel Pier and having dinner at Zaberer's, either going down or coming back. Couldn't do anything in a small town like Vineland, so we dated in Philly or at the shore. Back in 40's I do remember Sissy Kodroff, and her brother Marty. Marty moved to Philly and I lost track of both of them. Still travel up to AC every month, staying at either Harrah's or Trump Marina. Love the area but no intentions of ever moving back. Expecting my 55th reunion this year, so I'll probably be spending some time up there. Certainly won't be swimming in the indoor pool at the President Hotel. GO EAGLES, maybe next year."

(depending on how many times we got kicked out of the pools)...oh AC, why in god's name did we give you to the Casinos. listen Casinos! if you want to double the money you make there in my home town,.rebuild the town to look like its glory days!!! rebuild the traymore! the marolbrough blenheim! the dennis! the ambassador bring back the golden dome ballroom and the old funhouses on the steel pier!! the diving bell and the diving horse! think old school casinos and bring back the supermarkets and movie theatres to AC...build the high school in a 1890's style, and put up monuments all over town comemorating your selves! imagine a 1950's captain starns in the inlet with crab dinners and caviar imagine collections of old 40' 50's speed boats and wicker walking roller carts...1940 street lights and busses come on casinos you sitting on a dream come true dont think tacky glass and steel, think classic brass, marble walnut and gold.........ok that's my opinion."
