"Been going to AC for years and have tried most casinos but I have to say that Bally's is aweful. We were there this weekend and had a terrible time. Now that Harrah's bought them they made the pool area a $10 charge. Their staff is terrible as they checked us into 3 different rooms because of various problems, one where we walked in on another couple. Now talk about embarrassing but I am sure we were not as embarrassed as the woman sitting on the bed in her bra and panties, yep! We also booked for Bally's and they sent us to the Claridge which is even worse. The elevators take a million years and because they take so long the crowd accumulates and then they fight to see who can get on the elevator. Saw some idiots actually climb over old disabled people rather then wait for the next. When we complained at the desk they said they have never had any problems...yeah right! In our experience go down to the Trop! Now that they renevated it's pretty awesome and the people seem to care. "

"My favorite casino is Showboat, when you get off the bus, the greeters give you envelopes containing cash and you can sit down in the small room off from the main casino and the restrooms, a small cafe{a snack is approiate when you sit at the machines for hours.) The workers are very helpful and courteous. I became disoriented on one visit and was separated from the person I came with. The security staff went beyond their duty to assist me and try to locate my friend."

"I used to have a lot of luck in Little Joe's Video Poker Room at the Wild Wild West. No more. In 2002 and the first quarter of 2003 jackpot bells would go off very often. It was not unususal to see 3 machines in the progressive Joker's Wild row popping at the same time and there's only 9 machines in the row. The jackpot hardly ever went up to taxes ($1200). One night my friend hit the jackpot 3 times on the same machine. We went back the next weekend and he hit again 3 times on the same machine. All 6 jackpots were just a little over $1,000. Now the pots sometimes climb up to $1800 before they hit. Is video poker random? Makes you wonder. The machines are quiet now. It's time to change casinos. I read good reviews of the Sands on this page so I am going to take a walk over there....... "

"I love the comfort and intimacy of the Claridge.both the hotel and the casino. I like the odds at the Sands. They seem to pay off more. Bally's used to -- not anymore. But would that the casinos give their patrons and players a break and put chairs and couches in the lobby. The big shame in Atlantic City is the egregious neglect of the once beautiful beaches. How can a city so rich, situated directly along the wondrous Atlantic Ocean, let their beaches decline to narrow patches of dirty sand. There isn't another vacation spot in the world that doesn't take care of it's surroundings -- particularly if they are fortunate enough to be oceanside. "

How can a city so rich, situated directly along the wondrous Atlantic Ocean, let their beaches decline to narrow patches of dirty sand. "We've been going to AC and LV for years now. Recently returned from our first stay at the Plaza. On a phone call before we left we were comped a mini suite and all but top restaurants (LFB). That was chaged to full RFB soon after our arrival (and a bit of play!). The VP machines left a little to be desired...Ceasar's is a little better...and full RFB there, too....but Trump offers a limo from NY...That's worth 1% in EV on video poker anyday! Mini suites are nicer than Ceasar's, and the people seem friendlier. We're going back in a week or so....and we'll see then.."

"I used to love Caesars but now I don't think I will ever go back. I believe the hotel was sold and they stopped comping. I used to get comps for rooms and food and suddenly it all stopped. I went there a few months ago and found that even tho my card was in the slot machine, it was not registering in the main computer. They did not even know I was there for 6 hours. When I went to get my comp, they would not even give it to me because they said I hadn't been there. Needless to say, they gave me some runaround. They no longer know how to treat a good customer. I have gone back to the Taj where I am treated royally. Comps for rooms. They don't comp too well for food because they take your room off your total comps and so you are left with almost nothing. You should never have to pay for your food. I really think they better change their system."

"I went with Claridge for three reasons: They have the most "full pay" video poker machines BY FAR than any other Casino. Trump has 4 and one is a $25 machine. The others are quarter machines at the Worlds Fair. They are too far apart so I can't play while sitting next to my wife. The Trop has 50 cent and up machines and they are also too far from each other and they have "NO" quarter machines. Why play anywhere else on machines that have a built in vig that makes them akin to slots in payout? Clar idge is also right there when you need a refill for your machine. It seems their slot hosts pay attention to the players needs a lot more than the other casinos. Finally, their cash back and comps are the best in AC for the medium bankroll player. The atmosphere is not the greatest at Claridge but we cant have it all. We could if Trump made a section of The Worlds Fair a full pay video poker area which means more 9/6 Jacks or better machines on the top level."

I am a stroke survivor, and can walk with a cane, but am a fall risk -- particularly when tired -- and I travel by wheelchair most of the time. The sfatt at Claridge Hotel and Casino took my handicap in stride. Accomodation may be mandated by law, but it can be made gratiously or grudgingly, and the latter was the case at Claridge. I made the mistake of going with friends to the Sands, found no way down from the "pe ople mover" from the Boardwalk, and it was only because I traveled with a friend who was strong, that I was able to take the escalator down to the casino while he brought down the wheelchair. Then, there was no way back!"

"The Showboat has an atmosphere that gives me the illusion of being down south. The decor of both the hotel and casino are wonderful. My experiences at the table have always been enjoyable, if not lucky. My one complaint is that rooms are not available on the weekends unless the guest is a high roller. This causes me to stay at other hotels when I want to spend a Friday or Saturday night in Atlantic City. The Showboat should try to allow some rooms for all its card holders, not just the guests that a re able to visit more frequently."

"Resorts is smaller, darker and feels more like "home" to us. Not too many distractions, and the new unisex uniforms of the staff show managements concerns for their employees as well as guests. "Perhaps it is the serenity of being on a beautiful bay...the lovely views from up high of the ocean, and gazing at the Boardwalk lights at night.....the "out of the way" environment of being in a world of your own away from the "maddening crowd..." These are some of the reasons I find Harrah's my very special hideaway. Of course every visit finds me being treated like a queen by all of the courteous and friendly people who are employed there.. Every time I return I chuckle to myself and say..."I'm home..." Made a solo trip this summer and felt secure, relaxed and familiar with everything! Harrah's is my casino...no doubt about it!"
